FILTER
ELEMENTS
TECNOCOMP self cleaning
air filters for gas turbines provide an effective barrier against dust
and other contaminants, assuring high efficency air filtration in the
most severe conditions and environements.
STRUCTURAL
FEATURES
Circular expanded
rubber gasket with triangular or rectangular section glued on the bottom
cover of the cartridge. Hardness: 60 shore. Material: neoprene foam with
nytrogen cells (or equal).
Upper and bottom covers:
galvanized steel 6/10 or painted steel 6/10 with epoxy paint; 304 stainless
steel on request. Steel covers are glued to the pleated media by a high
temperature resistant resin; in particular, this adhesive is stable against
the action of chemical agents.
Inner and outer liners:
galvanized steel 5/10, perforation Ø 6,5 m/m. Assembly: seam folding
with at least 1 perforation stroke. On request, epoxy painted steel or
304 stainless steel.
Filering media: pleated
media composed by resin impregnated cellulose, cellulose mixed to synthetic
fibres. The advantages of this special paper are: easier and better cleaning,
higher air flow efficency, lower energy costs compared to other conventional
cellulose media .The special pleating system guarantees the stability
of the structure, by mantaining its original shape for longtime, without
loosing working filter area, with relevant consequences on the efficiency
and life of filter elements, without adding any particular spacer.
TECHNICAL
INFORMATIONS
MECHANICAL TREATMENT:
Due to the shape and the small volume of the filter element, filter media
must be mechanically shaped. This process consists in a corrugation in
the length and an alternate folding in the width of the filter media.
After this treatment, the obtained cylinder media is placed into the liners
and the caps. A special glue fixes all parts together and guarantees the
air tightness of the system. The pitch of the folding is reinforced by
seven annular beads of hot-melt glue. This construction feature prevents
the excessive movement of the media caused by the swelling of the cellulose
fibres during humid conditions and it maintains an even pleat spacing
thereby ensuring the most effective usage of the available media surface
area.
QUALITY CONTROL:
Filter media are rigorously tested by outer lanboratories highly qualified
and specialised in air filter field, such as Air Filter Testing Laboratories
(Kentuky, USA) and M & E Testing Laboratories (England) in order to
check efficiency, dust holding capacity, thickness, grammage, volatile
components content, burst strength, tranction resistence, etc. Filter
elements are tested accordingly to ARAMCO testing procedures and they
are certified so to respect the following features:
- efficency: > 99,95%
- pressure drop:
<= 10kPa
